Smith & Smith Funeral Home has a very
unique heritage in that it has served
Lexington and surrounding communities
since 1881.
In the 1940’s, J.W. Smith bought the
Edward W. Jackson Funeral Home.
The funeral home operated under the
Jackson name until 1956. In 1956
the partnership of J.W. Smith and Horace
R. Smith was formed. The name was
changed from Edward W. Jackson to
Smith & Smith Funeral Home.
We are proud and grateful to you for the opportunity to serve you across the years. The steady volume and growth of business is a silent testimony to the high quality service given. The partnership of Horace R. Smith and the family of J.W. Smith continues.
Today we offer a complete service which includes family consultation, funeral services for all faiths, pre-arrangement and cremation terms for needed services to fit any budget.
Smith & Smith Funeral Home is a proud member of the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA) and the Funeral Directors Association of
Kentucky (FDAK).
